SC Design Group spotlights the best in model home design. This weeks post celebrates a model home by Monterey Homes at Bellissma. Smooth stucco walls, arched openings, ornamental iron, elegant turret, and red tile roof conveys a perfect 21st-century translation of Spanish Colonial and Monterey styles. The exterior layout provides a progressive experience through the courtyard to the formal entry.

The formal entry is stunning with its white walls contrasted against rich dark woods, polished mosaic floor, and tiered iron chandelier.

Just off the entry, is the dining room. The beamed ceilings, arched openings, upholstered chairs, draped chandeliers, timber beams, and LED wine storage add character to the formal space.

The kitchen features a soaring ceiling that adds a sense of grandeur to the serving area while the beams and tin ceiling detail, white cabinetry, contrasting island, and marble counter tops create an inviting place for people to cook, gather, and entertain.

Interlocking spaces create highly flexible zones that facilitate the dynamics of family living. Exposed beams subdue the volume of the living room and complement the clean white walls. A mix of patterned pillows and alternating colored sofas add interest to the space.

The wood floors and rich, dark trim work continues into the master suite. The textured area rug and throw adds warmth to the room. The unique upholstered bed is by Bassett Furniture.

We love how the builder added barn-style doors to the opening of the master bath. A glass, arched opening perfectly frames the floating tub and shower.

Teen room with baseball theme. The accent paint at the ceiling and perimeter offsets the volume of the ceiling and adds an interesting paint detail to the room.

Who wouldn’t love this teen space with its playful scooter theme, study and gaming areas.

The bold, graphic wallpaper, round mirror and tufted headboard add visual interest to this teen, fashion bedroom.
